Dr. Lisa Brekke, PT
I am a licensed Physical Therapist in Iowa and earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University. I am a board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy with advanced training in brain injury, vestibular rehabilitation, and manual therapy. I am also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), with Level 1 and 2 Dry Needling training through IAMT and Craniosacral Therapy training through Michigan State University.
My practice focuses on complex neurological conditions, including dizziness, migraine, concussion, and autonomic nervous system regulation. Through Brekke Rehab, I provide individualized, evidence-informed physical therapy and wellness services centered on each client's goals and needs.Through Brekke Rehab Consulting, I provide mentoring, education, and consulting to healthcare professionals seeking to strengthen their clinical reasoning and confidence with complex neurological populations. I also help connect out-of-state clients with appropriate collaborative care providers.
Across both practices, my goal is to promote thoughtful, collaborative care that empowers clients and equips clinicians to provide meaningful, high-quality rehabilitation.
